Valentine's Day

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and their Valentine's Day. I had the pleasure of seeing Valentine's Day (the movie) on Saturday night with my best friend, Jenn. It was predictable and fun! Very similar to He's Just Not That Into You, but enjoyable all the same. Jenn & I know what we're getting with chick flicks and that's the reason we see them.

Neal & I celebrated Valentine's Day on Sunday evening with a home-cooked meal (he cooked, yay!), of steak with a mushroom sauce, roasted asparagus and roasted yams,

chocolate-covered strawberries - hand-dipped by moi,

and presents!

I gave Neal the Martha Stewart Living Cookbook: The Original Classics. Believe me, he loves it and wants the New Classics book, too. He made me a book to keep my movie ticket stubs in. The paper he picked out has dogwoods! (Dogwood is Virginia's state flower.) What a great day!
