Last Friday was the first day this spring that I could wear flip flops! I was so excited, until I realized my toenails were looking a hot mess. They needed nail polish pronto. Isn't it amazing how painted toenails can completely change the look of your feet? Thankfully, I have recently discovered the wonder of base coats - thanks, Ashley.
In the past, it has take me up to an hour to paint my toenails because I find it difficult to get an even coat on each nail. I know that sounds like a ridiculous amount of time, but I wanted them to be close to perfect. Using a base coat evens out all the little ridges your nails naturally have and makes it a lot easier for nail polish to go on smoothly and evenly.
It literally took me 5 minutes to base coat and paint my toenails on Friday morning. It was glorious! And then I felt like my outfit was 100% complete. And I had pretty toes to look at all day.
