Last night the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM's) had their annual awards show. I'm not a huge Grammy's fan, but if it's anything like the country awards shows, I won't be watching in the future. I love country music and it's kind of neat to see so many artists perform on the same show. Can you say free concert? However, there were hardly any awards given out! It was back t0 back t0 back performances. I think the first award of the night was given 45 minutes into the show. If the Grammy's are like that, I would shut them off in about 10 minutes.

Lady Antebellum was the big winner with Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Top Vocal Group - beating out the giants Rascal Flatts. They actually won five award because they also won for being producers on Single Record of the Year and composers for Song of the Year. Way to go, Hilary, Charles & Dave!

My absolute favorite, Carrie Underwood, won the Triple Crown award, which I had never heard of. It's given to an artist who has won Top New Female Vocalist, Top Female Vocalist & Entertainer of the Year. The only other female artist to have received it is Barbara Mandrell!

AND, for the second year in a row, Carrie won Entertainer of the Year, becoming the only female artist to win it twice! For the last three years fans have been able to vote and decide Entertainer of the Year. You better believe I voted for Carrie. I heart her. Now, when is your next album out, Carrie?
