I've been unemployed since last fall. Recently I have been feeling really positive that the right job is out there for me, I just have to be patient. But every once in a while, it's Blues City around here. I hear from a lot of my friends about what they're doing and I long to be contributing to something bigger than myself.
A lot of people like to remind me that the "market is bad" and "there are so many people in your shoes." Unfortunately, it doesn't alleviate the reality that I must job search once again the next day. And believe me, job searching is #2 on my list of most loathed activities. (Moving/packing is #1, in case you were wondering.)
In the meantime, I am thankful for great friends and family who support me everyday. I am also excited that I have been able to watch about 90% of the Olympic coverage. And back in January, I could watch about 80% of the Australian Open.
Now, if only I could get paid to watch my favorite programs, read some great books and tell you about it. Ahh, I guess I can still dream.
