Dogsitting

Today my best friend, Jenn, had planned to go ice climbing frozen waterfalls at Starved Rock out in Oglesby, IL. (Sounds pretty awesome, right?) Surprisingly though, it has been too warm lately that it's too dangerous to climb waterfalls. Instead she went rock climbing indoors with her group. Jenn has a toy poodle that could not be left alone all day, so she asked Neal & me to dog sit.

Not all of you are aware, but I don't really have a love of indoor pets. I grew up on a farm and all of our pets were outdoor animals. Ellie, the toy poodle, is a 'teenager' according to Jenn (doesn't she look like she's waving to you in the picture?), so I wasn't sure what to expect. She's so little, though, that she makes you laugh no matter what she's doing. We had a great day going on walks to smell things, running on the hardwood floor and napping.

I think she likes Uncle Neal the best.

But I think she likes me too.
